THE CHILDISH FILM FESTIVAL AT M-SPIFF APRIL 1-16, 2005

WELCOME!

to the CHILDISH FILM FESTIVAL, a new children's program at M-SPIFF to introduce kids (and the adults that accompany them) to the world of children's cinema. The programs are suitable for young audiences and categorized by age-appropriateness. However, these are not your average "family films." In this case, "childish" simply means, "suitable for a child"-and implies something that is ageless.
The child-focused programs at the Childish Film Festival convey inspiring and positive messages through international films and videos that speak the universal language of cinema and present unique stories, visual art, and music from around the world. Respecting the innate intellectual curiosity of children, and a child's point of view, these films pose interesting questions as well as provide entertainment. Celebrating a wide array of animation, live-action, features, and shorts, the Childish Film Festival invites childish people age 3 and up on an adventurous journey into new cinematic territories.

Here's to the next generation of Twin Cities cinephiles!
