Bearing Witness is the story of ﬁve female journalists – photographer Molly Bingham, Times of London correspondents Marie Colvin and Janine DiGiovanni, CNN camerawoman Mary Rogers, and Al-Jazeera producer May Ying Welsh – who share their experiences from the front lines of the most recent Iraqi-American war. This documentary takes a wild ride through the lives of these fearless and intense women who sacriﬁce their personal lives to get the stories and the pictures of the people who are most affected by the war. This is a brutally graphic and honest video diary that exposes the trials, sacriﬁces and dangers experienced by female war reporters. Barbara Kopple is a two-time Academy Award winner who recently directed the narrative feature Havoc. Bob Eisenhardt is a three-time Emmy Award winner and has worked on over sixty ﬁlms as a ﬁlm editor, director, and producer. Marijana Wotton recently produced and ﬁeld produced the feature length A&E documentary Bearing Witness. Ms. Wotton has worked both domestically and internationally for CNN, ABC, Merchant Ivory, Quincy Jones Productions, Abel Ferrara, Cabin Creek Films and Magnum Films.
