Moon of Avellaneda is the history of an emblematic club of a district that has lived past its time of splendor in the 1940s. The club has fallen into a decayed state and at the present time it is immersed in a crisis that puts it in danger of being closed. Apparently, the only possible way out is that it becomes a casino, nothing more removed from the dreams, ideals and the aims of its founders: a social, sport and cultural club. The descendants of these founders will struggle between saving themselves the cost of keeping it alive or making that dream their own.

Juan José Campanella has crossed over the Atlantic Ocean working in the United States on the NBC-TV series Law and Order. In addition to directing, he has been the scriptwriter of its three known films: The Son of the Fiancèe , The Same Love, The Same Rain and Moon of Avellaneda.
