BERGMAN TRIBUTE: Wild Strawberries (1957)

Director: Ingmar Bergman

This is Bergman's widely acclaimed account of an aged doctor's journey through a compelling landscape of dream and memory. Throughout the day, as he travels to receive an honorary degree, he experiences haunting flashbacks which force him to confront his life and its failings. Richly visual and dramatic, Wild Strawberries is a cinematic landmark.

"Ingmar Bergman is one of the most peculiarly gifted and demoniacally creative filmmakers ever. WILD STRAWBERRIES has been widely acclaimed as his masterpiece." - Time Magazine

"Ingmar Bergman, a poet with the camera, gets some grand, open sensitive images...brilliant scenes and beautifully touching moments." - New York Times

"A poem...that wanders through the borderland between the dream world of life and the real world of dreams...with definite delicacy and compassion." Newsweek
