The 1977 Brazilian film, Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands, based on the novel of the same name by Jorge Åmado and directed by Bruno Barreto. Showtimes will reverse for Monday, Tuesday, Nov. 24, 25, with screenings at 7:15 p.m.

When initially released, Dona Flor became the most successful film in Brazilian history. Set in 1940s Bahia, it stars Sonia Braga, Jose Wilker in leading roles, as Braga is torn between the memory of her late irresponsible husband who keeps returning to earth or the dullard who’s become her new mate. A new print, in Portuguese, with English subtitles.
